The film got banned due to objectionable content and then got unbanned and released in Pakistani cinemas. The movie has gotten international acclaim with Cannes Film Festival standing ovation and first contender to be an Oscar nominee from Pakistan. Rotten Tomatoes puts it at a 100% rating.
